What we collect when you use our laundry service, why we collect it, and what we do with it — in plain language, kept short.

Who We Are

Elegant Life Laundry is a laundry and dry cleaning business based at Building 4107, 14 Wadi Al Mikhaylfah St, Mohamed Bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with free collection and delivery across Abu Dhabi. This policy covers the personal information we handle when you book with us, when we collect and return your items, and when you use this website. We are responsible for that information.

What We Collect

Only what we need to clean your items and return them to you:

  • Your name, phone number, and address, so we know whose order it is, can reach you, and our driver can find you.
  • Your email, only if you contact us that way or ask for an invoice or statement by email.
  • Instructions about your garments — for example that an item is delicate, needs washing separately, or that someone in the household has sensitive skin and needs a particular detergent.
  • Your order history and invoices — a customer number, what was in each order, what we did, what it cost, and whether it has been paid. This is what lets us run monthly accounts and remember your preferences without asking you to repeat them.
  • Occasional photos of an item's condition, where a garment arrives with existing damage or a stain, so there is a clear record. These protect you as much as us.

This website itself has no contact form, no account, no login, and no online payment. Everything above reaches us because you gave it to us directly — on WhatsApp, on the phone, or at the counter.

How We Use It

We use your information only to:

  • provide the service — collect, clean, finish, and deliver your items;
  • keep you updated about your order;
  • take payment and keep accurate accounts and invoices;
  • remember your garment care instructions for next time;
  • meet our record-keeping obligations in the UAE.

We do not sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing, and we only send promotional messages if you have asked us to — you can tell us to stop at any time.

WhatsApp is our main way of speaking with customers, and it is run by a third party under its own terms. Please do not send card numbers, bank details, or ID documents over WhatsApp or email — we will never ask for them there.

Payments and This Website

We do not take payments through this website and we do not store your card details. You can pay by cash, card on delivery, Apple Pay, a payment link, or bank transfer. Where a card is involved, your card details go straight to the bank or payment provider — we receive only confirmation that the payment succeeded, and the amount and date for our accounts.

This website sets no tracking cookies and uses no analytics. That is why you have not seen a cookie banner. The one third party on the page is the embedded Google map: when it loads, your browser contacts Google directly under Google's own privacy policy. The WhatsApp, call, directions, and Instagram buttons are ordinary links — nothing happens until you tap one.

Who Sees It and Where It Is Kept

Your information stays within our business and is seen only by staff who need it. The exceptions:

  • Our specialist cleaning partner receives some dry cleaning with only the garment and an order reference — not your address, phone, or account history.
  • Payment providers, where you pay by card or link.
  • A court or authority, if the law requires it — and then only what is actually required.

Our order records are held in a secured cloud system operated by a third-party provider on our behalf, which processes the data only on our instructions. Depending on that provider's infrastructure, the servers may sit outside the UAE; where they do, we require the data to stay protected and used only for running our system. We keep your records for as long as you are a customer and afterwards as long as the law and our accounts require, then delete them or put them beyond use.

Your Rights and How to Reach Us

Under UAE law, and in particular Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it (where we are not required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons), stop non-essential contact, or withdraw consent. Just ask — there is no form and no charge, and we may need to confirm your identity first. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable UAE law.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date above, and tell customers directly if a change is significant.
